Litien Labs (Pty) Ltd, trading as Litien Optical Lab ("Litien Labs", "we", "us", or "our"), is committed to protecting the personal information of all persons who interact with our website and digital platform. 3.3 Technical Information: IP address, browser type, pages visited, session duration, device type, referring URL — collected via standard web logs and cookies.
We use your information to: create and manage your account; process and fulfil lens orders; communicate regarding orders and enquiries; send service-related notifications; ensure platform security; comply with legal obligations; and improve our services. We do not use your information for unsolicited marketing without your explicit consent.
We process your information based on: contractual necessity; legal obligation; legitimate interest; and consent where specifically requested.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share it with: Rachah Holdings (PTY) Ltd (platform management); cloud hosting providers; and email service providers — all bound by POPIA-compliant data processing agreements. We may also disclose information where required by law or court order.
Account information: 5 years after account closure. Transaction and order records: minimum 5 years. Communication records: 3 years. Data is securely deleted or anonymised once the retention period expires.
We use encrypted password storage, HTTPS, internal access controls, and regular security reviews. We will notify you and the Information Regulator of any data breach as required by POPIA.
